Welcome to Asset Information Insights (AII)

Welcome to the Asset Information Insights (AII) User Guidance Portal.

This site is your central resource for understanding, using and leveraging AII effectively.

Whether you are a Discipline Lead, Design Manager, Digital Operations Professional, or a THE LINE stakeholder, this documentation is designed to help you get up to speed, and succeed in your role ensuring our data is consistent and provides value in the long run.

Why AII Matters

  • AII ensures all design data is captured, validated, and checked for compliance against NEOM’s requirements.
  • It fosters quality, consistency, and governance throughout the design & construction lifecycle.
  • Through dashboards, metrics and workflows, AII equips both technical and non-technical users with clear insights and actionable information.

What is excluded from AII

  • AII does not cover Asset & Space designs submitted from sources other than NEOM’s THE LINE design consultants.

User Role / Need Why AII Helps / What to Use First
Package BIM Lead (Validation role) Start with Role-Specific Guide — BIM Lead to follow workflows around asset requirements, information, and model checks.
PRJ / TLP Design Managers (Compliance role) Use Role-Specific Guide — Design Manager to oversee submission and compliance of asset / space information.
Digital Operations & Platform Admins Learn administration, user access, configuration, data flows, and issue resolution via Best Practices and Appendix sections.
THE LINE Stakeholders Begin with Overview sections, then explore dashboards to monitor progress and metrics.
First-time or cross-functional users Follow Process Walk-through: Creation → Submission → Validation → Compliance Check → Dashboard Review.

Key Functional Areas

Here are the main modules of AII and how the documentation supports them:

Functional Area What You Can Do / Learn Recommended Section(s)
Defining requirements for Assets & Spaces Understand what data consultants must provide, attribute standards, data models, etc. Assets & Spaces → Requirements & Information
Providing and managing asset & space information Submit / update datasheets; attach documentation; update state/status; ensure data completeness Assets & Spaces → Requirements & Information + Process Walk-through
Process sequencing (submit, validate, compliance check) Step-by-step workflows; roles & actions; validation rules; compliance thresholds Process Walk-through (Overview → Create/Submit → Validate → Compliance)
Seeing overall progress and performance Use dashboards, filters/slicers, metrics, and links to explore data, detect issues, and support decisions Dashboard Overview (Overview → Title Bar → High-Level Metrics → Filters → Links)
Tailored user guidance Role-based workflows and tips for efficiency (e.g. BIM Lead, Design Manager) Role-Specific Guides
Best ways to work with AII Good practices, common pitfalls, tips to maximise efficiency and data quality Best Practices → Using AII effectively

First-Steps Onboarding Checklist

  1. Read Purpose → Scope to understand what AII covers and its relevance to your role.
  2. Identify your role, and navigate first to your Role-Specific Guide for targeted instructions.
  3. Use the Process Walk-through to follow a complete cycle of datasheet submission, validation and compliance.
  4. Explore the Dashboard Overview to familiarise yourself with data metrics, filtering, and navigation.
  5. Refer to Best Practices to ensure efficient and correct use of the system.
  6. Consult the Appendix if you need help with data flows, frequency, issues, or have general questions.

Where to Go from Here

  • 👉 Start with: [Introduction] — get the big picture of AII, its background and why it matters.
  • 👉 Then pick your first action task based on your role (e.g. submit a datasheet, validate compliance, run a dashboard report).
  • 👉 Use navigation links in the sidebar (or top menu) to jump directly to the section you need (Requirements, Information, Process, Dashboard, Role-Guides, Best Practices, Appendix).
