Process Overview
Introduction
AII as a tool extracts data from both BIM Models & Data Sheets submitted by the Design Consultants. The business process that AII supports and utilizes as follows below in Figure 1.
Fig. 1 - Requirements & Information Datasheets Process Overview
The business process as shown in Figure 1, is a collaborative workflow that involves multiple parties to ensure data gathering accuracy, completeness, quality and compliance is fulfilled.
-
Create or Update & Submit Datasheet - Design Consultant
- The process starts through the Design Consultant by defining the required datasheets based on design requirements. Both requirements and information data are captured in datasheets and later uploaded to ACC for consumption by AII.
-
Validate Datasheet - Package BIM Lead
- Upon submission of datasheets by the Design Consultant(s), the Package BIM Lead accesses AII to perform validation execrises with role-specfic dashboards and provides comments via CRS based on results understood for the Design Manager's consideration.
-
Check Datasheet Compliance - Design Manager
- Lastly, the Design Manager reviews the submitted datasheets to ensure they meet NEOM THE LINE requirements. The Validation results are shared by the Package BIM Leads as well via NEOM's CRS process. The Design Manager utimately decides on whether the submission is accepted or rejected.
- Both PRJ & TLP Design Mgmt. teams perform this activity simultaneously.
Therefore, AII presents a series of dashboards in the following types below to compliment the business process as described above.
| Type | Role | Definition |
|---|---|---|
| Validation | BIM Manager; Design Consultant1 | Check if data is structured and following the required Data Quality Requirements and Expectations. |
| Compliance | Design Manager (PRJ & TLP); Design Consultant1 | Check if data is compliant against a set of Design/Engineering Requirements and Expectations. |
