FAQs and Troubleshooting
Why is my dashboard not loading or showing incomplete data?
This issue can occur due to several reasons:
-
Data Refresh Delay: The dashboard may not yet reflect the latest data if the refresh cycle is still in progress.
Refer to Section 10: Data Sources and Refresh Schedules for details on timing. -
Access Permissions: Ensure that you have the appropriate access role assigned. Missing or incorrect permissions can prevent data from loading.
See Section 7: Access and Permissions for guidance. -
Template Manipulation in Excel Files: If the uploaded Excel file does not conform to the required data sheet template, the dashboard may fail to load data correctly. Common issues include:
- Sheet names have been changed from the original template.
- The "Class" field is left empty.
- Empty rows are inserted at the beginning or after the fifth row.
- Required columns have been deleted or renamed.
How often is the data updated?
- Refer to Section 10: Data Sources and Refresh Schedules for detailed timing and source systems.
I can’t see a specific asset/space. What should I do?
-
This could be due to a delay in data refresh or a connectivity issue.
Check the data refresh schedule in Section 10. -
Ensure you have the correct access permissions.
See Section 7.
How do I export visuals or reports from the dashboard?
- Use the export options available in the top-right corner of each visual.
- You can export to Excel, PDF, or PowerPoint depending on the dashboard tool.
Who do I contact if I find incorrect data?
- Refer to Section 6: Roles and Responsibilities to identify the relevant data owner or steward.
Why are some KPIs showing as “N/A” or blank?
- This typically indicates that the value is zero.
- For example, if the Pass% field appears blank or as “N/A,” it means that the calculated value is 0% due to no passing records or no data available for that metric.
How do I request access to a restricted dashboard or report?
- Submit an access request form.
- Ensure your manager approves the request before submission.
What should I do if the dashboard is very slow or unresponsive?
- Try clearing your browser cache or switching to a different browser.
- If the issue persists, report it using the Dashboard Feedback Form in Section 13.
